The opening of the Volkswagen-type is a special mechanism for opening by pulling and sliding for PVC and aluminium joinery. The structure consists of an openable and fixed (non-openable) sash. Upon opening, the handle pulls toward us and slides in front of the unopened part of the window or the showcase. The sliding becomes possible due to a special rail with a perfect rubber seal. The “Volkswagen” mechanism is characterized by extremely comfortable and gentle movements of sashes that can be also opened by tilt turn type of mechanism.
This type of mechanism can be used for windows or showcases with most types of normal window PVC or aluminium profiles. It is used when there is a requirement for space saving (in narrow spaces) and when seeking the higher comfort of opening and service compared with conventionally hinged windows and doors.
