Decompressing tape for joinery installation

The membrane represents a flexible polyurethane band with an open cell structure, impregnated with flame-retarding modified synthetic resin with a multi-functional performance 3-in-1:

• 1. Vapor permeable from the inside in order to keep the construction joint dry from moisture penetration by the room.
• 2. High noise and heat insulation and air-tightness in the middle of the construction joints of the joinery.
• 3. Extremely high waterproof performance, even with direct rain from the outside, combined with excellent vapour permeability in order to keep the construction joint dry and remove residual build-up moisture outdoors. The use of just one product replaces internal and external vapour diffusion tapes and polyurethane insulating foam, saving up to 80% of the time required for installation!

The precompressed membrane swells itself within a few hours, and the rate depends on the temperature and humidity of the air. The correct choice for the width of the membrane is to be 2-3 mm narrower than the width of the profiled window system.

Various widths of the membranes are available – from 58 to 88 mm, as well as thicknesses from 6 to 15 mm in a compressed state and 25 to 66 mm in an expanded state.
